TRiO SSS Summer Math 24/25, English 22


Don't miss out on tuition-free TRiO SSS sections of English 22 and Math 24/25 this summer! Please come to the TRiO SSS office in Manaleo 107 to put your name on a list of interested students.

Because of strong demand, admission to TRiO SSS summer classes will not be first-come-first-serve, but by application. All interested students on the list will soon be emailed a brief form, which they must complete and sign.

Resume & Cover Letter Workshops: 4/15 & 4/17!


Do you need help writing or update your resume? Do you need to know what to write in a cover letter? Join Lance the Jolly Business Writer:

Randy Kalahiki Scholarship


Every year, the Kualoa-He'eia Ecumenical Youth (KEY) Project awards $500 scholarships to full-time UH Community College students who are legal residents of the State of Hawaii. The scholarships are renewable up to two years/four semesters.

The KEY Project has extended to all TRiO SSS participants an
invitation to apply to this scholarship. Preference will be given to
those who live or work in the Kualoa-He'eia area, who are first
generation college students, who have demonstrated financial need, or who have previously participated in KEY Project programs.

You will receive the application form by email. Check your hawaii.edu account, then print and mail application to:

Poi to the World: Canned Food Drive 2008!


Please help the Hawaii Foodbank by bringing your donations of canned goods to the Hale Manaleo lobby this month!
  • The Foodbank will serve 131,862 clients this year, and it needs your help.
  • The Hawaii Foodbank is the only nonprofit 501(c)(3) agency in the state of Hawaii that collects, warehouses, and distributes mass quantities of food to 250 member agencies as well as food banks on the Big Island, Maui, and Kauai.
The WCC Foodbank Drive will run until the end of the month, 4/25.

Bring a donation to Hale Akoakoa kickoff event next Tuesday, 4/8 for free entertainment, food, and prizes!
