Looking for an opportunity

Dear Students,

On Wednesday, February 10th the Service-Learning Fair will be held from noon to 2:00 pm in Akoakoa 101- 105.

More than 30 non-profit community organizations will be present to talk to WCC students about volunteering in our community.  Volunteering at a community organization helps students explore careers, improve job skills, gain confidence and become a more engaged global citizen.

Previous student testimonials:

-It was very fun helping build the Hale in Waimanalo.  I made new friends there and had a sense of community while being there.
-I can't wait to do more and get more students involved at Ke Ola Hale.
-Working at the Hawaiian Humane Society is a great experience and everyone should do it.  It helps with your emotions, especially when you're sad - the animal is always there to help you.
-Friends of Kaneohe Library was a great place to work. I made many friends.
-I smile so much more these days after volunteering at New Hope Windward.
-I had lots of fun at the Hula Preservation Society.

SOME COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS WHO WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE:
Aloha Pregnancy Center
Hanauma Bay Education
Keiki O Ka Aina
Islands Hospice
Hui O Koolaupoko
HUGS
Ronald McDonald House
Liveable Hawaii Kai Hui
Kailua Elementary

Looking forward to seeing you at the Service-Learning Fair,

Sharon MacQuoid, Coordinator
Jamie and Donovan, Student Assistants
