Exciting Opportunity for Science Pathways

Aloha,

Here's a great program for those of you interested in majoring in biomedical, behavioral, clinical, or social sciences that gives you research experience as well as a mentor to help and guide you during your undergraduate experience. If you're planning on transferring to UHM and majoring in one of the above sciences, you need to apply (see attached flyer on qualifications).
There are two TRiO SSS participants in the current cohort of BUILD EXITO.
Former TRiO SSS participant, Keith-Allen Afong graduated with his AA and is now at UHM majoring in Natural Resource Management and Conservation. He says, "The program is worthwhile because it can help you reach whatever science career/major you want or it might lead you to something new. It will help anybody that wants to build stronger research and educational foundations in whatever they are pursuing."
Adam Aku is a current TRiO SSS participant and working on his prerequisites for social work. He plans to transfer to UHM and earn his BSW. He feels that the program has been a great help in learning about research as well as his options for his major and career and most importantly, given him an incentive to go on for his MSW.
