Word Parts - fid-, fidel-

fid-, fidel-Latin for belief, believe, trust, faith, true

confide - to trust in someone to keep your secrets; confidential - meant to be kept private or secret; fidelity - being true to promises or duty; bona fide - being real and genuine; perfidious - being disloyal and dishonest.
