Word Parts - bon


One of the fastest ways to increase your vocabulary is by learning word parts, i.e., roots, prefixes, suffixes or forms.

bon- : From Latin good

bonafide - in good faith, with sincerity, genuinely; bonus - somehthing given or paid in addition, extra; si finis bonus est, totum bonum erit - if the end is good, everything will be good; pro bono - waive fees, i.e. attorney, doctors; bonify - make good or right; bonism - doctrine that the world is good, but not perfect; bon vivant - someone who has refined tastes.
