Word Parts - loc, loco


One of the fastest ways to increase your vocabulary is by learning word parts, i.e., roots, prefixes, suffixes or forms.

loc, loco - place, from place to place, where something is placed

locomotive - relating to travel, vehicle that runs on rails; locomote - to move about; locate - find, place or indicate where something is; local - of or relating to a certain place or area around you; allocate - set aside or designate for a special reason; collocation - arrangement in which things are placed next to or close to each other; in locus parentis - in place of parents; suo loco - in it's proper place.
