Word Parts - luna, luni, lun, lunu

From Latin moon, light, shine

demilune - half-moon, a crescent; cislunar - lying or situated between the earth and the moon;
lunatic - originally, affected with the kind of insanity that was supposed to have recurring periods dependent on the changes of the moon; lunation - time from one new moon to the next; luniform - shaped like the moon; lunula - white crescent-shaped mark at the base of the finger-nail; lunar - reference to the moon.
