Rey Leaupepe's TRiO SSS Success Story

Hi, my name is Rey Leaupepe and I am originally from American Samoa. I attended Windward Community College back in 2011, in search for a new beginning in life. This is my fourth semester, and TRIO has helped me ever since I first step foot on campus; from tutoring, printing, or just helping with homework, TRIO has helped many of us students with the endless school stress and guiding us in the right direction especially when we take detours. I was uncertain at first and a bit scared because being a non-traditional student, I did not know what to expect, but TRIO was my saving grace. I can always depend on TRIO when I am in need for any of my classes. I hope that someday I may help others the way that TRIO and its many staff and supporters helped me. I did not think that there would be people out there that are caring enough to help others to be successful, because I had to always work for what I earn. Here at TRIO, we are one big happy ohana no matter what race we are....I LOVE THAT! There is no other place like TRIO.
