Wendy Smits' TRiO SSS Success Story

I would like to give Trio my success story.  While I was at Windward Community College I was a part of the Trio family.  That is what Trio was, a family.  Trio helped me with my math by offering me a tutor.  Without that tutor I wouldn’t have passed my math class.  There were tutors in other subjects as well, but math was my main subject of concern at the time.  Trio was a pleasant place to be.  We would enjoy a free meal several times during the semester and that gave us time to get to know other students.  I feel that Trio is definitely a service that any student will benefit from.  When I look back, I am totally grateful for Trio and the service that they provided me.  I am currently attending UH West Oahu and majoring in Public Health Care Administration and will complete with my BA in December, 2013.
