Welcome back to the spring semester. Hope you had a relaxing break, registered for all the classes you wanted, and are ready to hit the books. Just some reminders...
1. Personal Statement Workshop is tomorrow at 1pm in the TRiO SSS lobby. Bring your draft or last yearʻs personal statement and Jean will meet with you individually to give you pointers after the workshop.
2. Last Day to ADD a class or receive a 100% refund for any class you drop is FRIDAY, JANUARY 13, 2017.
3. TRiO SSS is once again partnering with Goodwill Industries to provide FREE federal and state tax filing services through the VITA tax program. We make sure to give you the Education Credit worth up to $1,000 extra on your return whereas other services/programs donʻt.
4. FREE Money Fridays are from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. If you havenʻt finished applying for scholarships, TRiO SSS will help you with your personal statement, FAFSA, Hawaii Community Foundation Scholarships, UH System Scholarships, and Na Hoʻokama. DEADLINE for HCF and UH System is January 31st and February 1st.
