Aloha TRiO SSS and Paipai,

And the saga continues...

Red Hapi Coat and Hachimaki (hanging above back entrance way)

WCC used to hold a fall festival in which the main event was a bon dance. TRiO SSS sewed the hapi coats, designed the mon, and printed the hapi coats, hachimaki's, and t-shirts which they wore for the fund raiser booth selling real ono stuffs (teri hamburgers, saimin, BBQ beef sticks, and Waimanalo Super Sweet Organic corn). Not to mention, the TRiO SSS gang looked good dancing around the yagura (tower in the middle).

Even Chancellor's Dig Their Nose

Lui Hokoano is the guy above the directors desk and he was the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs at WCC. He was a very good friend of TRiO SSS and helped us a lot. One day the patient and ever so smart TRiO SSS photographer caught him at the "right" moment during a Mid Month Munchies event. He's now the Chancellor at Maui College so if you're ever at Maui College, say, " Eh! You somebody...your picture stay TRiO SSS."

Student Art

The art around the TRiO SSS computer lab has been created and donated by former/current TRiO SSS participants. We want to showcase TRiO SSS'ers art, so feel free to donate any of your art.

TRiO SSS Grad Wall (in the lobby)

TRiO SSS'ers who have graduated have put their mark on the TRiO SSS Grad Wall. For those of you who have graduated and not yet put your mark, please come by TRiO SSS and sign the wall.

Big Chicken (on refrigerator)

A motivator for when you're tired of studying, think you can't make it, or want to quit, just look at the big chicken and ask youself, "Self, do I want to try tell the director why I didn't get an A?"...hahahahahah.

Toys Around TRiO SSS

Since we have both small and big kids that come to TRiO SSS, the toys and stuffed animals/dolls are for them/you to play with, i.e., when you take a break from studying or when mom/dad are studying. Small kids are welcome to take them home and the big kids are welcome too.

If you have any cultural symbol(s) that symbolize what TRiO SSS is all about, come see us so we can incorporate it into the TRiO SSS motif/culture/mana/kiai/chi/feel.
