Free Diapers and Potty Training classes available:
Windward CC Diaper Pick Up - Google Form Open NOW
WCC is collaborating with the Aloha Diaper Bank to provide free diapers and supplies to students. Because of the uncertainty for government assistance programs such as SNAP and Medicaid, WCC will be expanding the eligibility to receive diapers and baby wipes.
Eligibility:
Your home institution must be WCC or UH Manoa with an address listed in your student record that resides in Koʻolauloa or Koʻolaupoko. (If your home campus is different, please contact your basic needs coordinator on your home campus).
Priority will be given to keiki who live in the same household as the student. You can request for a family member such as siblings, cousins, grandchildren, etc.
You can request diapers and wipes for family members who do not live in your household, but they will have to show proof that they are receiving SNAP or other government assistance programs (Medicaid, general assistance, TANF, etc.). These supplies will be given based on availability and time of request form submission.
Diaper sizes are from preemie to size 6. Wipes and potty kits aren't always available but please request them and we will try to fill the order. Orders will be available for pick up at Hale Kākoʻo 103.
Here is the form: Diaper Request Form
The Aloha Diaper Bank is also offering free potty-training classes. Participants will learn how to recognize if their keiki is ready for potty training and gain helpful tips and techniques to make the process smoother. Attendees will receive a potty-training kit and a pack of pull-ups.
Please email robertty@hawaii.edu if you would like to sign up.
