Aloha mai käkou,
We're happy to announce that our Kökua a Puni Summer Enrichment Program 2010 applications are now available (click here for application link).
The four week Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) is designed to prepare Native Hawaiian community college students for their transition to the University of Hawaii at Mänoa. Students will participate in a culturally grounded academic program, learn the street smarts of Oahu and UH Mänoa, and enjoy numerous huakai. Students will also receive a $1000 stipend and an all expenses paid summer dormitory experience including meal plan.
The Kökua a Puni Summer Enrichment Program is will tentatively run from late May through June. Applications are due Monday April 12, all items including letters of recommendations must be postmarked by then. Instead of submitting official transcripts you may print out their UH system STAR report reflecting all community colleges they have attended. If you have any questions please feel free to email Pearl Wu at pearlwu@hawaii.edu or call 956-3111.
Native Hawaiian students currently enrolled in UH System community colleges who are interested in transferring to UH Mänoa are encouraged to apply. See your WCC counselor for an application.
